I am Xiaoli Jin (Sh-ao-lee Jee-ing). I write, code, and speak on podcasts. 

A former journalist, I interviewed former mayor, governor, and Washington political strategists during the 2016 US presidential election. I published articles ranging from healthcare, economics, and immigration. Over 10,000 people have responded to my articles and left more than 2,000 comments. 

A passionate writer, I explore the intersection between technology and politics. My writings have been featured on YaleGlobal, Columbia Journal of International Affairs, and peer-reviewed journals. 

A software engineer, I strive to promote civic engagement through programming. I created NewsElect, an IOS app that informs people about the political leanings of the news articles they read. I am currently developing a mobile app for a leading legal new provider.

A believer in knowledge sharing. I wrote math tutorials for beginners interested in linear algebra and image recognition on Medium. 

I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Middlebury College in 2019, with a double major in Political Science and Computer Science. 


I am currently working at Keystone Strategy, a consulting firm serving the crossroads of business, law, and technology.
